The Coast Guard is responding to a reported rig incident south of Vermilion Bay. A Coast Guard spokesman said that 13 people were on the rig and that one person was injured and the other 12 have been accounted for. The rig remains on fire. There is no word on whether an explosion caused the fire.
Rescue choppers and cutters are responding to the scene.
The rig is owned by Mariner Energy. CNN reports that it was not an active
