The Sidney Pier Hotel & Spa is bringing the Wild West back to the Peninsula! On October 16, 2010 the 'Wild West Roadshow' will take place at the Viscount Hangar, featuring internationally acclaimed and Juno award winning musician Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo. Replete with a country music saloon, dancing girls and gamblin' men, this will be the most talked about event in Victoria this year!
The Sidney Pier Hotel & Spa is hosting this event to help the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation raise funds to update equipment used in the general surgery. Critical to hospital operations, surgical equipment represents a major expense. It is the goal of the Sidney Pier Hotel & Spa to raise at least $25,000 for the Foundation.
"The Saanich Peninsula Hospital touches the lives of every resident in our area", says Natalie King, GM of the Sidney Pier Hotel & Spa. "We believe we can make no greater contribution to our community than supporting the Foundation in this effort. With the cachet of an artist like Jim Cuddy we hope to draw as many guests as possible to the event."
Jim Cuddy is internationally known for both his solo work and his front man role with Blue Rodeo. A sought-after performer, this multi-Juno award winner will bring his perfect blend of country and folk-rock to the Wild West Roadshow.
The event will take place on Saturday October 16, 2010, 7:00 pm to midnight. The Viscount Hangar, located on McDonald Park Road by the airport, will be transformed into a Tombstone saloon. Tickets are $150 and include a full gourmet BBQ dinner, drink ticket, live entertainment all evening and the chance to win some great prizes.
