Intrepid Theatre is proud to announce a special fundraising performance of British comedian Chris Gibbs’ ‘best of’ stand-up show, Gibberish, for this Saturday night (August 4th) at Langham Court Theatre at 8pm.
The annual fundraiser, in aid of the Victoria Fringe Festival, is made possible through a kind offer from Chris Gibbs (Antoine Feval, The Power of Ignorance) to donate his time for the performance. Intrepid Theatre’s Artistic Producer Janet Munsil is delighted to present Gibberish as the special Fringe Fundraiser performer for 2010.
“Chris Gibbs has been an incredible supporter of Intrepid Theatre for many years and a firm Victoria Fringe and Uno Fest favourite. We are very grateful for his help,” says Munsil.
Gibberish (pronounced with a hard ‘G’) is a combination of the award-winning performer’s best stand-up comedy routines incorporating acrobatics, hilarious observational stand-up comedy and meta-theatrical antics.
Gibberish has played to sell-out houses in many Canadian fringes, winning ‘Best of the Fest' at Winnipeg Fringe, and gathering stellar praise from reviewers across the country.
British-born comedian Chris Gibbs is best-known for his award-winning, one-man comedy shows. He was a regular guest on NBC’s comedy series ‘Howie Do It’ and has played at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. Gibbs is currently performing Antoine Feval at the Victoria Fringe.
All funds from Saturday’s performance will go to non-profit theatre organisation Intrepid Theatre who present the Victoria Fringe Festival.
