Wannawafel Charity Event:
Franchisees Hone Their Craft While Giving Back to the Community
Wannawafel has been filling Victoria’s Inner Harbour and Market Square with the delicious smell of fresh, Authentic Belgian waffles since 2009. In 2010, Founder Renaat Marchand and his son Arno slayed CBC’s Dragons’ Den and made mouths water all across the country.
Now they’re bringing the Authentic Belgian Taste of their Liège waffles coast-to-coast with 10 new Canadian franchises. The inaugural franchisee training event is taking place on May 6th to 8th at the new Victoria Parkside Hotel and Spa.
To share their joy and excitement about this event, they’re hosting a Wannawafel Charity Event on Saturday May 7th from 2pm – 5pm at Parkside Hotel and Spa, at the corner of Blanshard and Humboldt.
There will be 3 brand-new Wannawafel carts baking and new franchisees selling Liège waffles for half price ($2 each) with all proceeds going to BC Children’s Hospital. Musical entertainment will be provided by Clark Brendon.
This will be the first public bake for the new carts and franchisees before they head off to their respective waffle towns across Canada.
We would like to invite everyone to celebrate, meet the new faces of Wannawafel and eat some Authentic Belgian waffles for a good cause.
