One World One Love on Valentines Day #yyjmusic #saltspring

One World, One Heart Beating

One part "Playing for Change” one part "We are the World", and a whole bunch of children... Oona McOuat started on this project last spring on Salt Spring Island, BC, and traveled to Zimbabwe. Soon children from Canada, Africa, Mexico, and Europe were pouring their hearts into singing and playing One World, One Heart Beating, a global anthem for peace.

CBC is promoting the song to stations across the country, and schools across the globe are screening the video (created by a 9 year-old boy) on February 14th.

This labour of love, the brain-and-heart-child of Oona, and has been endorsed by Artists Against Racism and War Child, and its web site features interactive tools for teachers, kids and parents, inviting them to make a difference in the world.

One World, One Heart Beating …

… is a global love song performed entirely by children. It is an invitation to kids and grownups all over to act and live with tolerance, harmony, and hope.

This Valentine’s Day, join the One World, One Love campaign as we launch the official One World, One Heart Beating video (which is being created by a 9-year-old boy!) at schools and on social media across the continents.

Four Languages, Three Continents, One World…This is your golden ticket to the February 14th, 2012 One World, One Love Event.
