MONDAY
The Mustard Seed Street Church is looking for shoppers/shelf stockers to pack and distribute food hampers to clients, replenishing stock as needed. Shifts are 3-4 hours, with a morning and afternoon shift available each day, Mon-Fri. Commitment is at least one shift per week for four months and training is provided. TUESDAY
The Greater Victoria Public Library seeks teen reading buddies aged 13-18 to mentor children in grades 2-4 with reading practice, literacy-based activities and fun. Commitment is one hour and 15 minutes daily, Monday to Friday, for one week, and training is provided. Call Volunteer Victoria at 250-386-2269.
WEDNESDAY
Intrepid Theatre seeks billets for one or more artists during the Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival, to be held August 23-September 2. Billets do not need to provide food or transportation; just some privacy and a bed. Other positions are also available. Call Volunteer Victoria at 250-386-2269.
THURSDAY
The Victoria International Buskers Festival seeks volunteers to provide scheduling and performance information, distribute programs and sell water and t-shirts at the festival’s information booth. Shifts are 3-4 hours; volunteers must complete three shifts and attend an orientation. The Buskers Festival runs July 20-29. Call Volunteer Victoria at 250-386-2269.
FRIDAY
Luther Court Society needs activity volunteers to assist staff with manicures, exercises or bingo. Training is provided and other roles, including one-to-one visitors and walking companions, are also available. Call Volunteer Victoria at 250-386-2269.
