CKMO Radio - Village 900: An Instructional Campus Radio station which broadcasts from Camosun College. Global Roots, BBC News and other instructional based programming. You can also find Village 900 on Twitter, Facebook and their blog.
KOOL FM. Top 40 radio targeting a demographic of 18 - 34. High energy, lots of contests and creative morning show. Affiliated with CFAX 1070 Radio and A Channel Television. Found on the dial at 107.3 FM
CKKQ-FM or affectionately know in these parts as the Q! The home of legendarry Victoria radio personality Ed Bain. It's not only the Island's Rock, but it's Victoria's Rock. Found on the dial at 100.3
CFAX 1070 is one of the longest running radio stations in Victoria. Dedicated to news and public affairs from the CRD. You will also hear weekend info-mericals and many interviews with local politicians.
JACK FM is your place on the dial for classic rock, 80's, 90's and everything else in between.
The ZONE. Their positioning statement says it all, "Modern Rock". Sister station to The Q. The Zone targets a younger demographic.
CFUV is the other campus based radio station in Victoria along with Village 900 (above). CFUV's programming is very ecclectic featuring many volunteers from the University of Victoria and the community at large.
CIOC - The Ocean. Sister station to Jack FM. Owned and operated by Rogers Communications. Adult oriented format targeting office tuning, and primarily a female
demographic 25-54.
CHEK-TV (channel 6) is a television station based in Victoria, British Columbia and broadcasting to all of southwestern BC (including Vancouver). The station has been operating since December 1956 and is the first and oldest privately-owned station in British Columbia (only CBC-owned CBUT in Vancouver is older).
CHEK is currently operating as an independent station, broadcasting a schedule consisting of infomercials, news, movies, and other local programming. The station is owned and operated by CHEK Media Group, a consortium of station employees and local investors.
